Who is the current record holder for the Fastest 1000 runs in ODI?

Fakhar Zaman, a Pakistani cricketer, has recently overtaken Sir Vivian Richards to become the fastest player to reach 1000 runs in ODI’s

 

He achieved this fantastic record in just 18 innings against Zimbabwe. Some of the other famous names on the Fastest 1000 ODI runs lists are Gordon Greenidge and Kevin Pieterson.

The current record holder for the fastest 1000 runs in ODI is Fakhar Zaman. He is a Pakistani cricketer, and he is a former Pakistan Navy sailor. He plays for the Pakistan national cricket team. 

 

And he also plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He is the fastest man to attain 1000 runs in One-Day Internationals. He has shaved the earlier record by three innings. He started the fifth and last ODI with 980 runs in 17 innings against his name. 

 

He even got to the mark when he cut Tendai Chatara for four to get from 17 to 21 on Sunday of 22 July. And due to that, he beat the record of 21 innings. And that was held by five batsmen.

CG Greenidge was one of the most sought-after West Indian cricketers to lead his national team to become one of the best teams in the 90s. He was a stylish West Indian opener and scored 1000 runs in 23 innings, and was amongst the most reliable and committed player of their batting line up. 

 

Greenidge has impressed everyone with his impeccable batting and fantastic technique. He achieved the fastest1000 runs in ODI benchmark in his 23rd innings while playing for his national team against England at Leeds in 1980. It was when the West Indies team had won two world cups in trot and was named the world’s cricketing power.

3. Kevin Pietersen

Kevin Pietersen has proved his prowess in all three cricket formats for the English team over the past few years. He is famous for his attacking power and the expertise to play according to the match’s situation. 

 

He reached the 1000 runs mark in his 21st innings while playing against the Indian team at Faridabad in 2006 and stands at the number three spot in our list. Numerous times he single-handedly led his team to victory from the jaws of defeat, and cricket fans will always remember him as one of the most prolific English batsmen of his era.
